As a Maintenance Staff member, you will be responsible for performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and executing repairs across various building systems to ensure safety, comfort, and operational excellence. Duties
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, and building interior components to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform repairs on electrical equipment, plumbing systems, HVAC units, and mechanical systems utilizing schematics, hand tools, and specialized testing devices such as ohmmeters.
- Execute maintenance painting and carpentry tasks to uphold building aesthetics and structural integrity.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using electrical experience and schematics; repair or replace faulty components to restore optimal function.
- Maintain facilities equipment by performing preventive maintenance tasks aligned with Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) standards.
- Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting automated systems when applicable.
- Lead or assist with plumbing system maintenance and repair projects; ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Support building interior maintenance activities including drywall repairs, painting (residential or commercial), and general upkeep.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate maintenance schedules; provide excellent customer service by addressing occupant concerns promptly and professionally.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately; complete logs for inspections, repairs, and safety checks to ensure compliance with operational protocols.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with hand tools and electrical equipment repair.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams related to building systems.
- Experience with HVAC system repair, including troubleshooting and routine maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units.
- Knowledge of plumbing system maintenance and repair techniques; familiarity with plumbing codes is a plus.
- Ability to operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated system troubleshooting.
- Skilled in using testing devices such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics.
- Excellent communication skills in English; capable of providing clear instructions and documentation.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
- Customer service orientation; attentive to occupant needs while maintaining safety standards.
- Experience with facilities maintenance including building interior upkeep, painting (residential or commercial), carpentry, and general repairs related to facilities equipment.
