Duties
- Assist in managing restaurant operations, including shift management and staff scheduling to ensure smooth service flow
- Lead, train, and supervise team members in food preparation, customer service, and food safety protocols
- Oversee food handling, cooking, and food production processes to maintain high quality standards
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels to reduce waste and control costs
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety management and sanitation standards
- Support staff training initiatives, including interviewing, onboarding, and ongoing development to foster a motivated team
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction
- Assist with budgeting, profit and loss analysis, and overall food service management to maximize profitability
- Coordinate catering, banquet events, or special functions as needed within the restaurant or hospitality setting
Experience
- Proven assistant manager or supervisory experience in a restaurant or food service environment
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen management
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling proficiency required
- Strong background in managing hospitality teams with demonstrated leadership skills in team management and training
- Familiarity with inventory control, food safety standards, and food industry regulations
- Experience in casual dining or fine dining settings; banquet or catering experience is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience managing budgets, analyzing profit & loss statements, and implementing cost-control measures
