Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or this may be waived by the building principal

Strong work ethic.

Ability to work with students and staff on a daily basis.

Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
Reports To: Food Service Manager
Job Goal: To prepare and serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and friendliness.
Performance Responsibilities:

Assists in the preparation of food portions and prepares the cafeteria counter.

Serves students and staff from the cafeteria counter when necessary.

Participates in the cleaning of the kitchen storage areas.

Removes and washes used dishes and assists in the cleaning of counters, tables and furnishings in the dining area.

Maintains the trash and garbage collection area in a neat and sanitary fashion.

Performs related duties as required including duties at special meal functions.

Assures students have a reimbursable meal.

Authorizes the deductions of money from individual lunch accounts.

Maintains the proper certifications required to serve and prepare food.

Perform all other duties within the scope of the Food Service Program as assigned.
Terms of Employment: Ten months a year. Hours per day, hourly rate and work year to be established by the Board.
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the Building Principal in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel.
