Job Title: CPA Tax Accountant
Location: Bergen County, NJ
Pay: $100,000++ per year
Our client is a prestigious, multi-location wealth management and financial services firm seeking a full-time CPA Tax Accountant. Due to a recent acquisition, they are expanding and are looking for a CPA with at least five years of recent public accounting experience who can manage all aspects of accounting work, from write-up through tax return preparation.
Qualifications:
- CPA required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of recent public accounting experience
- Able to handle full-scope accounting work, from write-up through tax return preparation
- Proficient in Accounting CS, UltraTax CS, and Fixed Assets CS
- Strong knowledge of payroll and sales tax laws
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients
Responsibilities:
- Maintain corporate financial records and perform full-scope tax accounting for individuals and businesses
- Prepare individual, trust, estate, corporate, and partnership tax returns
- Record journal entries, depreciation, and adjustments based on tax returns
- Prepare tax-based financial statements and research and respond to tax-related inquiries
