We are the largest CPA firm in McHenry County, with over 60 staff members between our two locations: McHenry, Barrington, and working remotely. We provide our clients with a wide array of accounting and tax services, including compilations, reviews, audits, tax return preparation, payroll services, bookkeeping, and consulting services. Our clients include individuals, businesses, employee benefit plans, non-profit organizations, municipalities, libraries, fire protection districts, cities, school districts, and various others.
Position Summary:
The Senior Manager is responsible for solving complex problems to deliver high-quality tax or audit services. This role also plays a crucial role in growing Eccezion’s private client tax or audit practice by building connections with referral sources and potential business or individual clients. Additionally, this position is the day-to-day contact for a team of talented accounting professionals, fostering relationships and mentoring them to grow professionally within the firm.
Responsibilities of a Senior Manager:
- Demonstrate extensive experience successfully managing engagements of all sizes.
- If tax-focused, must have intimate knowledge of tax compliance, reporting, research, and planning.
- If audit focused, must have a thorough understanding of complex audit engagements.
- Possess in‐depth knowledge and expertise in a specialized area of practice, from research and staff training to being a point of contact within the firm for any questions or issues.
- Engage in opportunities for business development by developing and maintaining relationships with referral sources such as bankers, financial advisors, and attorneys.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Accounting.
- Possess extensive experience successfully managing engagements of all sizes.
- Licensed CPA preferred
- Has mastered the core value of a success mindset.
- Minimum eight years of accounting experience within a public accounting firm.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex content; experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams.
