Duties
- Thoroughly wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans to meet health and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all equipment is functioning properly
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as organizing ingredients and supporting kitchen staff during busy service times
- Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for use
- Help with general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, and maintaining a tidy work environment
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
- Follow all food handling and safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure hygiene standards are met
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
- Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures and food safety practices
- Experience with food service or catering environments is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a sanitary workspace
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while multitasking effectively
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues in various roles
