The Equipment Planner is responsible for the efficient and accurate scheduling of trailers for a service center and its customer base. This role works closely with Highway Transport Management and outside equipment cleaning vendors to ensure trailer availability, cleanliness, and compliance. All responsibilities must be carried out in accordance with established company policies and procedures, including safety, training, performance metrics, and maintenance standards. While trailer planning is the primary focus, the Equipment Planner also supports day-to-day operations within the service center and communicates regularly with both internal and external customers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Accurately plan trailer assignments based on load requirements and last-contained restrictions.
Maintain current trailer maintenance schedules and license/permit expirations; coordinate servicing with internal and external vendors
Plan efficient trailer routing
Coordinate trailer preps and washes with internal and external vendors
Meet or exceed tractor wash thresholds (minimum of once per month)
Meet or exceed performance KPIs, including revenue per trailer, truck-to-trailer ratio, and cleaning/processing time
Perform other duties as assigned
Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor's degree preferred
2+ years of experience in transportation operations
Bulk transportation experience preferred
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
Prior management experience preferred
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to exercise independent judgment
Ability to direct and manage employees and contractors
Ability to follow established company policies and procedures
Working knowledge of Federal DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations
Ability to work effectively amid interruptions and competing deadlines
Strong customer service orientation with both internal and external stakeholders
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
Majority of time spent at the service center, split between office and yard settings
Flexible scheduling required, including occasional weekend and after-hours availability
Occasional travel to other service centers as needed
