Job Overview
We are seeking a part - time Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have great customer service and experience in retail operations. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for customers and assisting them with their shopping needs.
Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with inquiries.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions.
- Maintain accurate cash handling practices and ensure the register is balanced at the end of each shift.
- Knowledge about products to educate customers about features and benefits.
- Perform stocking duties to replenish inventory on the sales floor as needed.
- Utilize basic math skills for accurate pricing, discounts, and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store environment.
- The ability to want to learn new things and assist customers with projects.
Skills
- Strong communication skills communicate with customers and team members.
- Experience in retail sales and computer skills.
- Knowledge of basic math and retail math concepts for transaction accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hardware store environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Part-time
