Fabrication Mechanic (Trim Cut Finisher)
Our growing Laconia, NH client is seeking a Fabrication Mechanic for their team. If you’re technically inclined, then consider this full-time, first-shift opportunity!
Responsibilities of the Fabrication Mechanic (Trim Cut Finisher)
- Fabricate rigid and flexible metal tubing
- Set up and operate various equipment (e.g., abrasive, squaring, deburring, and sizing equipment)
- Perform visual and dimensional tests on materials, assemblies, tube details, components, and finished products
- Inspect and test components, parts, tube details, and assemblies to validate conformance to specifications
- Maintain accurate mylar fixtures
- Plan, lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and salvage parts from assemblies, and repair assemblies, fixtures, equipment, and products
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications of the Fabrication Mechanic (Trim Cut Finisher)
- High school diploma or GED, 1-3 months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong math and computer skills
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use micrometers and vernier calipers
- Ability to problem solve and adapt to changing priorities
- Team player who can work well independently
