Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods along designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Manage route driving efficiently, optimizing delivery schedules to meet deadlines while maintaining safety standards
- Engage with customers professionally while providing exceptional service
- Handle heavy lifting of packages, demonstrating strength and proper lifting techniques to prevent injury with dolly
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to confirm deliveries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a positive experience
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving preferred
- Familiarity with route driving and local geography is beneficial
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members
- Proven ability in route driving with good organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently during deliveries
- Knowledge of traffic laws, safety procedures, and route planning tools is essential
