Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries, providing knowledgeable recommendations and product demos when needed
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly
- Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, cash drawer management, and balancing registers at shift end
- Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store displays are attractive and well-maintained through effective merchandising
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining a friendly attitude
- Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online communication channels
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking new products and participating in regular stock counts
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail sales transactions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently in both English and bilingual settings
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail environment is a plus
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction balancing
- Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising techniques, and inventory management practices
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette
- Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with upselling strategies to maximize sales opportunities
