Business Systems Analyst
Stahmanns Inc. is a family-owned pecan farm that has been in business since 1932. Based near Las Cruces, NM, Stahmanns currently produces and cracks millions of pounds of pecans per year. We focus on quality and always strive to stay at the forefront of industry.
The Business Systems Analyst develops and supports the data systems, reporting tools, and business applications that connect our financial and operational information. This position works across all aspects of business, including farming, manufacturing, distribution, accounting, and technology, providing a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop a broad understanding of business operations.
The core responsibilities for this position are:
Design and maintain databases using SQL and custom forms used to collect data from different areas of the business
Ensure data collection, accuracy, and entry compliance
Analyze financial and operational data using Excel, SQL, Power BI, R/Python, and other analytical tools
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports used by management and department leaders for decision-making
Work with department leaders to understand business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement new technologies and solutions
Learn to use and support business software applications and assist other users
Assist with automation and integration of data between business systems
Validate and reconcile reports to ensure accuracy and reliability of information
Develop analytical and predictive models for production, sales, purchasing, maintenance, and other areas of business
Document databases, reports, processes, and system solutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in data analytics, computer science, information systems, business analytics, mathematics, statistics, engineering, actuarial science, or a related field
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Experience or coursework with R, Python, Power BI, Excel, or similar analytical tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good organizational, computer, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and business processes
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
