Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Landscape/Maintenance Foreman to lead our outdoor maintenance teams in delivering exceptional landscape and grounds care services. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, coordinate landscaping and hardscape projects, and ensure the highest standards of grounds maintenance. Your leadership will inspire your crew to work efficiently, safely, and with a keen eye for detail, creating beautiful and sustainable outdoor environments. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate landscape maintenance activities, including lawn care, pruning, planting, irrigation management, and hardscape installation.
- Lead crews in executing construction projects with precision and efficiency while maintaining safety standards.
- Manage team schedules, assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of all projects.
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems, and hardscape tools safely and effectively.
- Identify plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and health; perform horticultural tasks including planting, fertilizing, and pest control.
- Oversee irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure optimal watering practices across sites.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, equipment usage, safety inspections, and project progress.
- Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols while working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Operate company vehicles responsibly for transportation to job sites while adhering to all traffic laws.
- Foster a positive team environment through effective crew management, leadership, and clear communication.
Experience
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping with a strong background in lawn care, gardening, or horticulture.
- Supervising or team management experience in outdoor or construction settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of landscape installation including hardscape features such as patios or retaining walls.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting is a plus.
- Hands-on experience operating grounds maintenance equipment and groundskeeping tools safely.
- Strong understanding of plant identification, tree care practices, and general landscaping techniques.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions is essential for success in this role.
