About the Role:
Providence Children's Academy in Coconut Creek, FL is looking for a passionate and nurturing full time Assistant 2-Year-Old Teacher to join our dedicated early childhood team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact during one of the most formative stages of a child's development in a warm, supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities for 2-year-old children
- Support daily classroom routines including circle time, meals, nap time, and transitions
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for toddlers
- Monitor and supervise children to ensure their health, safety, and well-being at all times
- Communicate openly and positively with parents and guardians regarding daily activities and child progress
- Assist with diapering, potty training, and other personal care needs
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom space
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education coursework preferred
- Previous experience working with toddlers or in a childcare setting is a plus
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Ability to meet Florida DCF childcare staff requirements and background screening
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Patient, caring, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine love for working with young children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
