Behavior Technician/RBT/Teaching Assistant/Paraprofessional, or with children with autism or other developmental disabilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional, teacher assistant, childcare provider, camp counselor, or working with children with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities preferred.
- RBT certification preferred or willingness to obtain it.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow BCBA treatment plans and collect accurate data.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client locations.
- Ability to pass a background check and meet all employment requirements.
- Dependable, professional, and committed to providing high-quality ABA services.
EXPERIENCE: Previous experience working as a paraprofessional, teacher assistant, or with children with autism or other developmental disabilities is preferred.
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Behavior Technician (BT) to join our team in providing high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the Behavior Technician will implement individualized treatment plans, collect accurate data, and help clients develop communication, social, adaptive, and daily living skills in home, school, and community settings.
Duties
- Implement individualized ABA treatment plans developed by the BCBA.
- Teach communication, social, play, adaptive, and daily living skills using evidence-based ABA strategies.
- Collect accurate session data and complete required documentation.
- Implement behavior intervention plans and behavior reduction procedures as directed.
- Collaborate with families, supervisors, and other professionals to support client progress.
- Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies.
- Attend required training, supervision, and staff meetings.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
- Experience as a paraprofessional, teacher assistant, childcare provider, camp counselor, or working with children with autism or developmental disabilities preferred.
- Ability to work independently while following clinical direction from a BCBA.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client locations.
- Ability to pass a background check and meet all employment requirements.
- Willingness to complete required ABA training and competency requirements.
