Duties
- Supervise and coordinate landscaping crews on various construction projects, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
- Oversee lawn care, landscape maintenance, planting, pruning, and grounds upkeep to maintain pristine outdoor environments.
- Manage irrigation systems installation and maintenance, including troubleshooting and repairs to ensure optimal water efficiency.
- Lead hardscape projects such as patio installation, retaining walls, walkways, and other outdoor structures with precision and safety.
- Identify plants accurately, provide horticultural guidance, and ensure proper care for trees, shrubs, flowers, and turf.
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively while managing company vehicles for transportation between sites.
- Enforce safety protocols across all outdoor work activities, including the operation of landscaping machinery and equipment.
- Mentor team members in landscaping techniques and best practices to promote skill development and teamwork.
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or related outdoor work environments with a focus on lawn care and plant identification.
- Supervising experience managing crews on large-scale projects with strong leadership skills.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems management and troubleshooting is essential.
- Construction experience with hardscape installations such as patios or walkways is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely along with company vehicle operation skills.
- Strong understanding of horticulture principles, tree care practices, gardening techniques, and grounds maintenance procedures.
- Excellent communication skills combined with leadership qualities to manage team members effectively.
- Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
