The Cannabis Consultant’s role is to provide exceptional customer care through personalized consultations. Cannabis consultants assist customers with product selection based on their specific needs and provide thorough education.

Responsibilities
Cannabis Consultant is a critical position and the main point of contact with our customers. Cannabis Consultants must be detail-oriented to minimize loss through accuracy.
- Must arrive on time to all scheduled shifts
- Accurately using the timekeeping system
- Monitoring personal prescribed meal/break periods per CA state law
- Greet and welcome all customers, providing customers full attention
- Maintaining a patient, professional, and positive demeanor at all times
- Ask clear and concise questions to better understand customer needs
- Listen with empathy, build trust with customers
- Provide customers with Brand/Product information and price
- Provide product and dosing instructions
- Follow all procedures to complete compliant sale
- Accurate promotional sales execution
- Correctly and accurately opening and closing of a register
- Processing transactions via cashless ATM
Requirements
- Previous retail experience (Retail Cannabis experience is preferred but not required)
- Customer service and conflict resolution experience
- Basic cannabis knowledge and understanding of DCC regulations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills and ability to run POS
- Proficient cash handling skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Responsible and reliable
Working Conditions
- The position is stationed within a retail location, on the sales floor.
- This position is cross-trained in order to provide coverage at all job posts.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours a day.
- Ability to routinely bend over and lift 5-20 lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to complete repetitive reaching, bending, and twisting.
