Awaken Church is looking for an Associate Children's Pastor to serve as the operational leader of Awaken Kids. Working directly alongside the Kids Pastor, this role is responsible for leading the weekly execution of our children’s ministry by overseeing Sunday operations, developing volunteers, and ensuring every classroom is prepared for a safe, excellent, and engaging experience where kids can know and follow Jesus.
This role carries ownership of the Sunday experience and weekly ministry execution, while working in alignment with the Kids Pastor who carries overall vision, direction, and long-term development of Awaken Kids. Together, this partnership ensures both strong vision and strong execution.
This is a builder’s role. The Associate Kids Pastor will steward the structure already in place while helping refine and strengthen systems as the ministry continues to grow.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and oversee the weekly execution of Awaken Kids.
- Build and manage Sunday volunteer scheduling and coverage.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and care for volunteers.
- Develop and support classroom leaders.
- Ensure curriculum, supplies, and classrooms are fully prepared each week.
- Coordinate with leaders to ensure every Sunday is fully staffed and ready.
- Problem-solve in real time to ensure smooth and excellent Sunday services.
- Maintain and strengthen existing ministry systems as the church grows.
- Communicate clearly and consistently with volunteers and leaders throughout the week.
- Partner closely with the Kids Pastor to execute the vision and culture of Awaken Kids.

- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with excellence.
- Experience in children’s ministry or volunteer leadership preferred.
- Must be able to pass a background check.

POSITION DETAILS

- Reports directly to the Kids Pastor
- Sunday availability required, with additional weekday preparation hours
