Saint Mary Star of the Sea School is seeking a part-time Middle School Science Teacher for the 2026–27 school year. The Middle School Science Teacher is responsible for supporting student success by delivering lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning in the sciences. The teacher will instruct and monitor students in the use of scientific tools, lab materials, and technology; guide inquiry-based learning; and support student development in alignment with the school’s mission and vision. A valid, current endorsement in Science is strongly preferred.

All permanent professional personnel employed at Saint Mary Star of the Sea School must have a degree and be willing to obtain either a VDOE license or VCEA certification in their content area by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Successful candidates will possess a strong commitment to Catholic education, superior communication skills (both written and spoken), strong interpersonal, organizational, and managerial skills, enthusiasm, a positive attitude, flexibility, and a collaborative, hardworking team-oriented approach.
Part time, exempt (10 month position)
