We are looking for a proactive, organized, and motivated Assistant Manager to join our growing team at Shark Bowls & Bites and Bowls & Bites at The Alley.
Our Chef at Bowls & Bites is Chef Lacey, former owner and operator of Lacey's Take-A-Way. We have been serving our community for nearly four years. As the owner, I am a Corporate Chef, former owner of Moveable Feast Co., and former Sales Director for two startup companies. I am ready to hire, train, mentor, and eventually hand over many of my responsibilities to the right person.
This position supports both locations as we continue to grow. Free parking is available at both locations.

You are passionate about clean food, love sharing information with others, and are eager to learn. You are excited by the opportunity to apprentice under experienced business owners and gain hands-on knowledge of how a successful small business operates.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys multitasking, and wants to grow professionally while making a meaningful impact.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As Assistant Manager, you'll be involved in all aspects of the business, including:
- Taking customer orders and providing outstanding guest service
- Managing weekly inventory
- Creating and maintaining schedules for approximately 15 team members
- Assisting with hiring, onboarding, and training
- Providing performance feedback and supporting team development
- Working at off-site events and partner locations, including Trident and MUSC
- Assisting with event planning and execution
- Coordinating projects and helping streamline daily operations
- Ensuring smooth communication between team members and locations
- Supporting the owner with daily operations and special projects
In short, you'll learn every aspect of the business—just like an owner.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be fluent in English
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Comfortable learning new technology and systems
- Positive attitude and willingness to grow
SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
- Position begins July 15
- Full-time position
- Five days per week
- One weekend day preferred, but not required
- Starting pay: $20 per hour
- Additional earning opportunities through event planning and special projects as responsibilities increase
