Duties
- Operate heavy machinery such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, supplies, and waste using appropriate equipment.
- Perform routine cleaning of the yard area to maintain a safe and tidy environment.
- Support sanitation efforts by managing waste disposal and garbage collection processes.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks to move materials or debris as needed throughout the yard.
- Reporting of any malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
- Assist with general yard organization, including sorting materials and preparing items for manufacturing or disposal.
Requirements
- Prior experience or training in heavy equipment operation such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, or similar machinery is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes or waste management operations is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to safety procedures and protocols when operating machinery or handling materials.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with a proactive attitude toward cleanliness and organization.
- Valid certification for forklift operation or heavy equipment operation is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
