Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality concrete finishing work on a variety of construction projects, including commercial, residential, and renovation sites. Your expertise will help ensure durable, smooth, and aesthetically pleasing concrete surfaces that meet project specifications and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects while honing your skills in concrete finishing and related construction techniques.
Responsibilities
- Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and shaping freshly poured concrete using hand tools, power tools, and trowels to achieve desired textures and finishes.
- Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to facilitate proper concrete placement.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to understand project specifications and ensure accurate execution of concrete forms and layouts.
- Install rebar reinforcement according to engineering specifications to provide structural integrity for concrete structures.
- Construct formwork using carpentry skills to create molds that shape the poured concrete accurately.
- Cut, shape, and install concrete components such as slabs, curbs, stairs, and decorative hardscape features like walkways.
- Adhere strictly to construction workplace safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe environment for all team members on-site.
Experience
- Proven experience working on construction projects with a focus on concrete finishing or related masonry work.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and heavy machinery operation relevant to concrete work.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety regulations and best practices for working with concrete materials and heavy equipment.
- Skills in rebar installation, formwork construction, concrete pouring techniques, and finishing methods such as plastering or flooring installation are highly desirable.
- Experience in renovation projects or working with complex construction plans is a plus.

Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
