Job Summary
A small specialized private practice in the Avondale area is seeking to add a skilled clinician to the team. Third Culture Therapy is a private practice that currently focuses on sex and relational therapy, headed up by Grace Casper, LMFTA and current AASECT candidate.
I often refer out clients seeking individual therapy, since I have limited working hours and prefer to keep inside my niche of sexual issues and relationship work. However, I would like to expand my practice to add on a therapist or counselor who works with individuals so that we can work together to provide holistic mental health care for clients when appropriate. This way, I can focus on doing relational work with couples and families and I can rely on you for individual work (and, if you're open to it, some cotherapy).
I also feel very passionately about creating a practice that pays its contracted clinicians fairly and well, allowing you to keep the lion's share of the money you make and working out a split for both of us that covers things like rent, software, and any administrative time while allowing you to feel in control of your finances and workload. That being said, I would like a clinician who is able to commit to a minimum of 10 client hours per week to make the cost make sense.
We are a private-pay only office meaning we do not work with insurance companies but we do provide superbills when needed.
I am open to work with associate-level counselors and therapists as well as fully licensed counselors and therapists. I am also willing to take on and pay the right intern-level therapist or counselor, though I would not be able to provide supervision. I would, however, like to staff cases together regularly to ensure quality care is being provided to our clients.
This is a good role for you if you are self-driven, independent, a talented and dedicated professional, and prefer to do the fulfilling therapeutic work without having to deal with too much administrative stuff. It is a great role for you if you care as passionately as I do about providing ethical, quality care to clients while making a living wage and working to create more balanced conditions within the mental health industry.
This may not be the right fit for you if you require a lot of hands-on leadership, if you would rather not commit to working on average 15 hours a week, and if you prefer to build and manage your own brand.
