HVAC BRANCH MANAGER/CHILLER TECH

We are seeking a proven HVAC professional who can lead teams, drive performance, and represent our brand with professionalism in a unique, beautiful coastal environment.
The HVAC Branch Manager/Chiller Tech is responsible for overseeing daily branch operations while leading, maintaining, and servicing commercial HVAC systems. This role combines hands‑on technical expertise with operational leadership, financial accountability, and team management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, train, and supervise service and installation teams; assign work and ensure productivity and quality standards
- Plan, perform, and oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, and system modifications for commercial HVAC equipment
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, refrigeration, and advanced electrical HVAC issues
- Manage parts inventory, order materials, and maintain equipment and system assets
- Manage branch operations including workload scheduling, job performance, and customer satisfaction
- Monitor branch performance, control operational costs, and support budgeting and profitability goals
- Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on centrifugal, screw, and reciprocating chiller systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, refrigeration, and electrical issues, including compressors, controls, and heat exchangers.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Promote safety standards, enforce company policies, and uphold high service and workmanship standards
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Must be familiar with chilled water equipment and systems.
- Able to read electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints
- Ability to read and interpret documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and operation manuals.
- Ability to organize work and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- EPA Universal Certification
- Trade School Certification
- 5+ years of Chilled water experience as an HVAC Chiller Mechanic
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to lift and/or carry moderate weight (15-50 pounds), sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, repetitive hand motions, hear, speak, some travel within the state of Florida, may experience prolonged and irregular work hours, and work with frequent interruptions.
