SUMMARY: The individual’s primary purpose is to schedule, verify IDs, and supervise all tests administered by Northern Oklahoma College, including the On-Campus (Residual) ACT, ACCUPLACER, and HESI nursing exams. The individual also proctors NOC institutional and placement testing, distance education exams, make-up tests, and accommodated testing for qualifying students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:
- Administer and monitor a variety of state, national and institutional tests and assessments.
- Coordinate student scheduling and exam data entry with scheduling software for the Stillwater campus.
- Maintain a sufficient supply of testing licenses for the Stillwater campus.
- Administer the On-Campus ACT and maintain testing supplies.
- Administer HESI nursing exams.
- Assist potential students and counselors with testing information.
- Consult with other campus testing coordinators, faculty, and department staff on routine testing issues.
- Assist with academic advisement.
- Assist with institutional retention and graduation efforts.
- Provide occasional evening testing during midterm and final exam periods.
- If meeting credential requirements, may teach up to 6 credit hours of coursework in the fall and spring semesters, primarily in courses focusing on student retention.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Subject to satisfactory Fair Credit Reporting Act Disclosure that includes a criminal background check.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual must be able to read and interpret documents, such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and federal and state guidelines; create routine reports and correspondence; and speak effectively before groups of students or employees of the college. The individual must be a team player, have strong organizational, communication, and human relations skills, must preserve confidentiality of privileged information, and be proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning other computer applications.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A minimum educational level of a Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
