About Us
We are a growing Long Island-based construction company specializing in residential renovations, custom homes, and new construction. Unlike many contractors, we perform much of our work in-house through our licensed General Contracting, Plumbing, and Electrical divisions, allowing us to deliver high-quality projects efficiently and on schedule.
Our clients include homeowners, real estate investors, and developers throughout Long Island. We are looking for an organized, motivated Project Coordinator / Junior Estimator to join our team and grow with our company.
Position Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with construction experience who wants to expand into estimating and project management.
You will work directly with ownership and project managers to prepare estimates, coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, manage project documentation, and keep projects moving efficiently using JobTread construction management software.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable reading construction plans, enjoys solving problems, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed residential construction estimates from plans and site visits
- Perform quantity takeoffs and solicit pricing from vendors and subcontractors
- Coordinate with suppliers to obtain material pricing and lead times
- Create and manage projects within JobTread
- Assist with scheduling subcontractors, inspections, and deliveries
- Track project budgets, change orders, and purchase orders
- Communicate with homeowners, investors, vendors, and subcontractors
- Review architectural plans and specifications
- Assist with project documentation and job costing
- Help ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
- Support project managers with day-to-day operations
- Identify opportunities to improve estimating accuracy and workflow efficiency
Qualifications
- Previous construction industry experience is required
- Experience estimating residential construction is strongly preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Experience with JobTread, Buildertrend, Procore, CoConstruct, or similar construction management software is a plus
- Knowledge of residential remodeling and new construction methods
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to commute to our office in Bohemia, NY
