Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal
Afriat Law, PLLC is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and fast-paced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join our growing litigation team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of experience handling personal injury litigation and be able to independently manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Filevine is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Draft, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, notices, discovery, subpoenas, and other legal documents.
- Manage all aspects of litigation case files from suit through trial.
- Prepare and respond to discovery.
- Organize medical records, bills, and other evidence.
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, experts, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
- Schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation events.
- Prepare hearing notebooks, trial binders, exhibits, and case summaries.
- Monitor court deadlines and ensure timely filings.
- Maintain the attorney's calendar and proactively manage case deadlines.
- Review court dockets and follow up on outstanding litigation matters.
- Assist with trial preparation and other litigation support as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of personal injury litigation experience is required.
- Experience working in a plaintiff's personal injury law firm is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Filevine is highly preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and proofreading abilities.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional phone etiquette and client service skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
