Candidates with a background in general or special education are welcome, and experience with special education populations is especially valued. This opportunity focuses on supporting high school students with coursework in Math and Science. If you're interested in extending your impact, you may also have the option to start early during the Extended School Year session beginning July 6th.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification in General Education or Special Education (SPED experience highly preferred)
- Comfortable working with high school students in Math and Science
- Ability to assist students with moderate behavioral challenges in a structured, two-teacher classroom
- Enthusiasm for collaborating and adapting to individualized student needs
- Willingness to work the 2026/2027 academic year with optional ESY start in July
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized and adapted instruction in Math and Science
- Support individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate on behavioral strategies
- Work with a co-teacher to foster a positive learning environment
- Communicate regularly with staff and families regarding student progress
