Seeking Intervention Teachers- Milwaukee, WI area
We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered Intervention Teacher to provide targeted academic support in Math within non-public schools throughout Milwaukee. This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about helping students build confidence, close learning gaps, and achieve measurable academic growth through small-group instruction.
As a Title I Intervention Teacher, you will work directly with K–8 and/or 9–12 (depending on license) students in a supportive, collaborative environment while receiving ongoing coaching, professional development, and instructional support from our leadership team.
What You’ll Do
- Provide small-group intervention instruction in Math(and/or ELA)
- Deliver targeted lessons designed to meet students’ individual learning needs
- Use assessment data to guide instruction and monitor student growth
- Administer and analyze Renaissance STAR assessment data
- Track attendance and student progress using online systems and reporting tools
- Communicate regularly with school staff, families, and administrators regarding student progress
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and family engagement events
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow educational policies and procedures
- Collaborate with instructional leadership and fellow educators to support student success
Qualifications Required
- Valid Wisconsin Teaching License in elementary/middle education 1083, 1088, 2088, or 1777 OR math specific license (1400/400) (Charter school and Substitute licenses do not qualify)
- K-8 or 4-12 license preferred
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and intervention strategies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable using online tools for progress monitoring and data analysis
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and school partners
Preferred
- Experience working with structured curriculum with fidelity
- Experience with Renaissance STAR
- Knowledge of Title I services in non-public schools
- Previous intervention or specialized instruction experience
- Experience working with K–8 or 9–12 students
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a team environment
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, bend and walk throughout the school day
- Ability to move between classrooms and school learning spaces
- Occasional lifting or carrying of instructional materials (up to 20 lbs.)
- Ability to climb stairs as needed within school buildings (up to several floors)
