Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tube Laser Operator / Machinist to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate advanced tube laser cutting machinery to produce precise metal components according to technical specifications and blueprints. Your expertise in machine setup, programming, and quality inspection will ensure efficient production processes and high-quality outputs. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in CNC laser cutting, and a commitment to safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties
- Set up and operate tube laser cutting machines, including CNC programming and tooling adjustments to meet production specifications.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to accurately fabricate metal components.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC laser equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Measure finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and other quality control tools.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety standards in production environments.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize machining processes, improve efficiency, and uphold quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines, with knowledge of CNC programming and machine operation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math.
- Familiarity with various fabrication techniques including plasma cutting, welding, forming machines, stamping presses, and electrical discharge machining.
- Proficiency in measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and other precision measurement tools for quality control.
- Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to machining and fabrication tasks.
- Mechanical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes including tooling setup and machine calibration.
- Experience with shop equipment such as forklifts or cranes is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills.
