Schedule: Weekends as needed, year-round work
Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Tree Climber with extensive rigging experience — 5+ years — to join our crew. The ideal candidate has a passion for outdoor work and deep expertise in climbing, rigging, and trimming techniques. Strong performers have the opportunity to grow into a Crew Lead position.
Candidates within a 20-mile radius of Stockbridge, GA are preferred; residing near Stockbridge is a plus but not a strict requirement for the right candidate.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of tree climbing and rigging experience
- Drug free
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Reliable personal transportation
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Clean driving record — Class A CDL is a major plus
- Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA Certification
- ISA Certified Arborist
Responsibilities
- Work as a member of our tree service crew
- Properly conduct a tree risk assessment prior to working on any tree
- Safely operate all equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and hand tools
- Maintain and track all tools and equipment used daily, keeping them in good working condition and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Continually practice and improve climbing, rigging, and tree maintenance skills
- Assist other crew members in all aspects of daily operations as needed
- Help safeguard employees and the public from hazards by following safe job practices, keeping work areas clean and orderly, and maintaining frequent voice communication with co-workers
- Support job site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
Equipment Used
Bucket trucks, bobcats, grapple trucks, chippers, chainsaws, hand tools, and other tree service equipment.
