As a Medical Billing Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our billing processes. Your responsibilities will include:

Submitting medical and behavioral health claims electronically using standard ICD-10 and CPT coding.
- Resolving claim denials, submitting appeals, and following up on outstanding balances.
- Verifying insurance eligibility, copays, and prior authorizations.
- Monitoring accounts receivable and addressing billing rejections.
- Ensuring compliance with NC Medicaid and commercial insurance coverage requirements.
We’re searching for a candidate who brings expertise and dedication to the role. To succeed in this position, you’ll need:

A high school diploma (Certified Professional Coder certification preferred).
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in NC Medicaid and behavioral health billing.
- Strong knowledge of medical billing processes, including ICD-10 and CPT coding.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
