Description:
DST is seeking experienced HFM consultants who are willing to travel in the Northeast Region (CT, NY, NJ, PA and DE). Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years hands on experience working with Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tools and a minimum of 5 years of financial close and consolidation experience. CPA certification is helpful.
Responsibilities:
The consultant may work alone, as part of a DST team or as part of a client managed project team to implement HFM for corporate financial consolidation solutions across many different industries and will help DST clients to maximize the return on their technology investments. Specific responsibilities include:
- Gathering and analyzing business requirements
- Participating in determining standards and best practices as related to the financial close and consolidation processes
- Designing and implementing HFM applications
- Tuning and optimizing existing HFM applications
- End user training and knowledge transfer to the client support teams
Required Technical Skills/Experience:
- At least 3 years of HFM implementation experience
- Hyperion Financial Management Certification a plus
- Overall 5 yrs+ IT experience
- At least 2 years+ consulting experience preferred
- CPA or other US GAAP/IFRS Experience required
- Demonstrated proficiency with Enterprise Performance Management Architect (EPMA) or Classic HFM Administration
- Demonstrated proficiency with Hyperion SmartView for Office Add-in
- Demonstrated capability to architect, design and build all aspects of an HFM implementation including loading data and metadata, creating web forms, journal templates, consolidation rules, intercompany transactions, etc
- Strong understanding of HFM clustering and ability to register new consolidation and application servers to the HFM cluster
- Ability to tune and optimize HFM applications
- Ability to manage HFM users and security
- Experience with HFM v9.x.x and/or HFM v11.x.x required
- Solid understanding of relational database concepts and ability to work with Oracle PL/SQL and/or Microsoft T-SQL
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems
- Strong understanding of DOS Command scripting language
Other Requirements:
Solid understanding and experience with one or more structured software project lifecycle methodologies

- Experience in data quality issues and ability to investigate and resolve data validation issues
- Strong command of the English language
- Ability to interface with clients at all levels within an organization
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to provide input into project plans including defining tasks and estimating level of effort
- Ability to prioritize and work independently
- Ability to identify project risks and determine when escalation of issues is necessary
- Excellent time management skills and ability to track and report time accurately and timely
- Readiness to travel if need (travelling 3-4 days a week, home on weekends) preferred
