Martin Roofing & Siding is looking for a dependable, organized Roofing Field Project Manager to help oversee our residential roofing projects from job preparation through final completion.
This is a hands-on field position, not a desk-based project management role. You'll work directly with our roofing crews and subcontractors, homeowners, and production team to help make sure every project is completed safely, correctly, professionally, and with the level of service our customers expect.
We are looking for someone who understands construction, notices details, communicates well with homeowners and crews, and takes pride in leaving a job done right.
What You'll Do
Prepare for Upcoming Projects

- Assemble stock materials needed for upcoming jobs
- Prepare necessary tools and equipment
- Make sure the field team is prepared before arriving at the project
Oversee Roofing Projects in the Field
- Arrive at jobsites as required and help keep projects moving
- Assist and supervise roofing crews and subcontractors
- Confirm work follows the approved scope and required materials
- Monitor workmanship and quality throughout the project
- Watch for proper property protection, safe access, and jobsite conditions
- Step in and assist when needed to keep the project moving
Document the Work
- Take clear before, progress, issue, and completed-project photos
- Document existing conditions and areas surrounding the work
- Maintain accurate project notes and job logs
- Upload photos and project information into our Buildertrend system
- Document problems, delays, changes, and important conversations
Communicate With Homeowners
- Introduce yourself and communicate with homeowners while work is underway
- Keep customers informed about project progress and what to expect
- Answer questions or get the appropriate team member involved when needed
- Address concerns professionally and promptly
- Help provide the friendly, professional experience our customers expect from Martin Roofing & Siding
Identify & Communicate Changes
- Recognize conditions that may require additional labor, materials, or a change in scope
- Discuss unexpected conditions with the homeowner before additional work is performed when appropriate
- Take supporting photos and document the reason for the change
- Communicate changes promptly to our production team
- Make sure the scope of additional work is clearly understood and properly approved
Help Close Out Each Project
- Review completed work and identify any punch-list items
- Confirm the project has been completed according to scope
- Communicate completion and outstanding items to the production team
- Return unused materials to the shop
- Restock and accurately record returned materials
- Return completed project documentation to the production team
Who We're Looking For
The right person for this position is someone who:
- Has roofing or residential construction experience
- Is comfortable working on and around roofs
- Can communicate confidently and respectfully with homeowners
- Can effectively work with and oversee crews and subcontractors
- Notices workmanship issues instead of walking past them
- Is organized and follows through
- Can take good project photos and document what happened on a job
- Understands that good communication is just as important as good workmanship
- Is comfortable using a smartphone, apps, and project management software
- Can make sound decisions in the field while knowing when something needs to be escalated
- Takes pride in protecting a customer's home and property
- Is willing to help physically when the job requires it
