Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on HVAC equipment to prevent failures and extend system lifespan.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment; perform equipment repair as needed.
- Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems, including pipe fitting and ammonia refrigeration work for specialized applications.
- Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and logs of all repairs performed; communicate findings clearly to clients or team members.
- Operate field service vehicles safely while adhering to all safety protocols; assist with property maintenance tasks when required.
Skills
- Proven experience as a service technician within the HVAC industry or related construction fields.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and interpret HVAC design plans effectively.
- Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems, ammonia refrigeration, boiler operation, and appliance repair.
- Skilled in plumbing work related to HVAC installations and repairs; familiar with property maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; capable of performing equipment repair and welding tasks.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration) systems; understanding of electrical components involved in system operation.
- Ability to operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely; experience with field service operations in diverse environments.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings.
