Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on race cars, including engine systems, powertrain components, and electrical systems using advanced automotive diagnostic tools.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks to ensure optimal performance.
- Repair and overhaul engines, including diesel engines, utilizing schematics and automotive wiring diagrams for precise troubleshooting.
- Execute wheel alignments, suspension adjustments, and vehicle system calibrations to meet strict racing standards.
- Use power tools and hand tools effectively for mechanical repairs, welding, heavy lifting, and manual handling tasks.
- Interpret complex schematics and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues within automotive electrical systems accurately.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and modifications while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Proven 5 plus years motorsport experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Mechanical knowledge is a must, welding, suspension, electrical or motorsports experience is a bonus.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostics equipment and understanding of vehicle systems such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and wiring diagrams.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with a proactive attitude toward vehicle care and team collaboration.
- Ability to travel up to 35% of the time required.
