Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented, personal injury litigation paralegal to join our legal team. You will assist attorney in all litigation matters and in managing client's cases. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, possesses strong organizational skills, and can multitask effectively.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of personal injury litigation paralegal experience (required)
- Strong knowledge of New York State court procedures
- Experience preparing, drafting, and filing:
- Summonses and Complaints
- Bills of Particulars
- Motions and Motion Papers
- Discovery demands and responses
- Notices and other litigation documents
- Experience with electronic filing (NYSCEF)
- Ability to manage litigation files from commencement through trial preparation
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to work independently while handling multiple deadlines
Responsibilities
- Draft and file litigation documents
- Prepare and file Summonses and Complaints
- Draft Bills of Particulars
- Prepare, file, and serve motions and motion papers
- Manage discovery and ensure compliance with court deadlines
- Maintain case files and litigation calendars
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and court personnel
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation and case management
- Request and organize medical records and other case-related documents
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor and excellent client service skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $50,000 – $70,000 per year, based on experience
