American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical Oncology (BMT) position requiring a minimum of 1 year of MS and oncology experience and Epic proficiency.

Mixed acuity PCU and Med/Surg unit within a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) setting
-
Hematologic oncology patient population including leukemias, lymphomas, myeloma, aplastic anemia, amyloidosis, and myeloproliferative disorders
-
Specialized procedures include autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic stem cell transplants, as well as CAR-T therapy
-
Required skills include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, blood product administration, central line blood draw, PICC line management, peripheral line care, feeding tube care, and use of Rapid Response Teams

Epic EMR experience is required

16-week contract
-
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM); rotating day/night scheduling is possible based on department needs and is re-evaluated every 4-week scheduling period

Active OH RN license or compact RN license (must be active at time of consideration)

Current BLS certification required; ACLS and ONS Chemotherapy Certification preferred

Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg and oncology nursing experience required

Hematology/oncology (Heme Onc) experience strongly preferred

Chemo certification is not required

Epic EMR experience required

2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference; co-worker references are not accepted

Local candidates are accepted

Former facility employees are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation from the facility

Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and built into the contract; RTO is limited to 7 days or fewer

Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed as soon as possible after booking; candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or will be mailed a fingerprinting packet to complete urgently upon receipt
