Job Title: Credentialing Coordinator

Summary of Position:
Provides all support necessary to ensure physicians are credentialed for hospital privileges and insurance companies in an accurate and timely manner.
Job Responsibilities:
- Keeps track of physician privileging status at all hospital sites, working collaboratively with credentialing company
- Compiles and distributes all privileging paperwork to be sent to physicians for electronic signature
- Corresponds with hospital sites to ensure timely privileging is completed and all supporting documentation is current and on file at credentialed site
- Maintains database of all certificates and licenses for all physicians to ensure no lapse in compliance
- Responsible for insurance credentialing for providers
- Enrolls providers in Medicare, Medicare Railroad & Medicaid during onboarding process
- Revalidates credentialling and keeps current files for providers to ensure timely and accurate payments from payors
- Maintains database for physician compliance with the American College of Radiology, and for privileging, by keeping track of continuing education requirements and corresponding with physicians on outstanding items required to uphold certification
- Acts as backup to the Physician Scheduler
- Other administrative support duties as assigned

Experience / Skill Requirements:
- Experience in administrative and clinical/health care setting is highly desirable.
- Must be adept at using software for word processing, spreadsheets and Physician Scheduling Software (QGenda preferred)).
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Detail oriented, self-directed and be able to work with minimal supervision and highly confidential information.
- Able to work in a fast-paced collaborative but collegiate environment while maintaining duties.
Education:
Three to five years of experience in credentialing is preferred.
Attendance / Work Schedule:
Maintaining and satisfying minimum attendance requirements is an essential function of this position, including working all full-time regular hours as established for this position and scheduled or emergency overtime. Full-time regular hours are defined as Monday through Friday, with after-hours or weekends as required. All employees in this job classification are required to satisfy this requirement. This job classification does not include "light duty" work or allow unpredictable or unrestricted absences.
