Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, cranes, and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and move materials efficiently within the warehouse.
- Perform order picking using RF scanners and <PERSON> pick systems to fulfill customer orders accurately and promptly.
- Manage shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety protocols.
- Handle materials with care during heavy lifting tasks, ensuring proper stacking and storage in accordance with warehouse procedures.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and updates within the warehouse management system.
- Assist with construction-related tasks or projects that require mechanical knowledge or heavy equipment operation when needed.
- Follow OSHA safety standards diligently to promote a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, and materials handling.
- Valid certification for forklift operation; experience with crane, clamp truck, and pallet jack preferred.
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation including forklift driving, crane use, and load & unload procedures.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and shipping & receiving processes.
- Mechanical aptitude with basic understanding of construction tools or equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
- Prior warehouse supervisor experience or leadership skills are advantageous for team collaboration.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations ensures compliance with safety standards at all times.
