Requirements Engineer
Part-Time 1099 independent contractor role
Facilitate the development of requirements policy documents for the Defense Programs Business Process System (DPBPS):
¨ Ensure policy documents adhere to DPBPS standards
¨ Establish relational links between policy documents
¨ Guide teams of SMEs to develop/revise policy documents
¨ Facilitate timely completion of policy document development milestones
¨ Schedule and attend virtual and in-person meetings
Required Education, Experience, and Skills

¨ Education: minimum BA/BS required
¨ Work Experience:
- Minimum of 10-years working knowledge of NSE product realization life cycles and their related business/technical requirements; and
- Minimum of 10-years working as an employee of, or subcontractor to, an NSE-related program within the DoD, DOE, or NNSA
OR
- Minimum of 15-years working as an employee or subcontractor performing requirements writing or management per AS9100, ASME NQA-1, ISO 9001, or other industry consensus standard; and
- Minimum of 15-years working knowledge of product design, production, or quality management systems, and their related technical and/or business requirements
¨ Capability to acquire and maintain DOE security clearance
¨ Experience using MS Office products, notably MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word:
- Managing multiple worksheets
- Filtering, grouping, and organizing data
- Creating charts (e.g., process workflows)
- Using function statements / macros
- Creating presentation slide decks
- Managing track changes and review process
¨ Experience using online collaboration tools, notably MS OneNote, MS Outlook, MS SharePoint, MS Teams, or other similar non-Microsoft products
¨ A minimum of 5-years experience:
- Creating multi-channel meetings
- Achieving project milestones and deliverables
- Structuring and facilitating periodic and ad-hoc meetings
- Effective collaboration with clients and team members
