Position Title: Weekend Facility Manager
Program: Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP)
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour
Available Weekend Shifts (Saturday and Sunday):
- AM Shift: 12:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- PM Shift: 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Position Summary
The Weekend Facility Manager (FM) is responsible for overseeing shift operations, client supervision, staff leadership, and program compliance during assigned weekend shifts within the STRTP. The FM ensures compliance with California Title 22 regulations, STRTP requirements, agency policies, and trauma-informed care standards while maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for youth and staff.
The Facility Manager serves as the designated shift leader responsible for supervising floor staff, maintaining active supervision of clients, ensuring required staff-to-client ratios, responding to crises and emergencies, monitoring environmental safety, and ensuring all required documentation and reporting are completed accurately and timely.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide direct on-shift leadership, guidance, and supervision to direct care staff
- Supervise staff attendance, punctuality, professionalism, engagement, and performance during shifts
- Ensure completion of assigned duties, supervision expectations, cleaning tasks, routines, and required documentation
- Ensure compliance with California Title 22 regulations and STRTP licensing standards
- Ensure a designated Facility Manager is present while clients are present in the facility
- Maintain active supervision and monitoring of clients at all times
- Monitor required staff-to-client supervision ratios
- Respond to behavioral escalations, AWOL incidents, medical concerns, safety risks, and emergencies
- Support staff with trauma-informed de-escalation and crisis intervention
- Ensure incident reports, shift notes, safety plans, and required documentation are completed accurately and timely
- Conduct facility walkthroughs to monitor cleanliness, organization, and environmental safety
- Ensure staff follow agency policies, safety procedures, and supervision expectations
- Communicate significant incidents and shift updates to administration and on-call supervisors
- Coordinate with ACCESS, FURS, EMS, law enforcement, schools, medical providers, and county representatives as needed
- Assist with client transportation, appointments, supervision plans, meals, activities, and daily programming
- Promote a structured, therapeutic, and trauma-informed environment
- Model professionalism, leadership, accountability, communication, and teamwork
Minimum Qualifications
Per California Title 22 requirements, Facility Managers must:
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Meet Community Care Licensing criminal background clearance requirements
- Meet required health screening and TB clearance requirements
- Complete required STRTP and Title 22 training requirements
- Complete at least one (1) hour of Facility Manager training prior to assuming Facility Manager duties
- Possess the ability to supervise staff and maintain program compliance
Applicants must also meet one of the following qualification pathways:
- Two (2) years full-time experience as social work staff in a licensed residential program/group home/STRTP; OR
- Associate’s degree plus four (4) years full-time direct care experience working with youth; OR
- Two (2) years residential child care experience plus qualifying behavioral science coursework
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in STRTP, residential treatment, foster care, or behavioral health settings
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and crisis intervention
- Experience supervising staff in a residential or behavioral health setting
- Strong communication, organization, leadership, and documentation skills
Required Certifications & Clearances
- Valid California Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
- CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain upon hire
- Pro-ACT or crisis intervention training preferred
- Live Scan clearance and all required pre-employment clearances
Work Environment
This position works within a licensed STRTP serving youth with behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs. The environment may include exposure to emotionally escalated behaviors, crisis situations, and high-acuity client care needs.
