The Opportunity
Lead quality on the floor. RB America Corp. — the U.S. arm of Italian precision manufacturer RB SRL — is hiring a Quality Operator Supervisor at our Kansas City, MO facility. You'll lead the quality team day to day — scheduling, coaching, and developing Quality Operators — while staying hands-on with inspections, catching defects and non-conformities, driving corrective actions, and partnering with the Production Director to keep quality and output on target. A working-leadership role for someone who knows quality inside and out. This is a designated safety-sensitive role. Essential Functions
The following are the essential functions of this position. Performance of these duties — with or without reasonable accommodation — is required.
- Lead, supervise, schedule, and assign the daily work of the quality team to meet inspection and production needs.
- Coach, train, and develop Quality Operators, and provide performance feedback in coordination with the Production Director and Human Resources.
- Monitor quality performance and metrics, prepare and present quality reports, and escalate significant issues to the Production Director.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions for quality issues, and verify their effectiveness.
- Perform in-process and final inspections on parts and finished products to verify compliance with specifications.
- Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Work directly on the production floor to monitor quality during manufacturing operations.
- Identify defects, non-conformities, and deviations, and report findings to leadership.
- Maintain accurate inspection and quality records using approved documentation methods.
- Implement and maintain quality standards and procedures across the quality team.
- Collaborate with production teams to improve product quality and reduce defects.
- May interact with suppliers or customers; when doing so, communicate quality-related information clearly and courteously.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with 5S and safety standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the production process.
- Maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance in accordance with the assigned work schedule and the Company's attendance policies. Reliable attendance is essential because in-process quality checks and quality-team coverage must occur on each shift.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
This role is performed in an active manufacturing environment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Frequently stands and walks for extended periods, up to and including the duration of a full shift (typically eight or more hours).
- Frequently performs repetitive motions of the hands, wrists, and arms; regularly bends, reaches, and stoops; occasionally climbs ladders or stairs.
- Regularly lifts, carries, and moves materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Works in a manufacturing environment that may include exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, varying temperatures, and airborne particles within OSHA-permissible limits.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and other task-specific equipment as required by the Company's safety program.
What You Bring
Required
- Minimum of five (5) years of quality-control experience in a manufacturing environment, including experience as a lead or supervisor.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Experience with analog and digital measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers.
- Ability to inspect welds against defined acceptance criteria.
- Ability to evaluate powder-coat and coating quality against defined acceptance criteria.
- Experience with basic quality tools (e.g., check sheets, root cause analysis).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies.
- Ability to work on the production floor in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective and professional communication and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interact courteously with suppliers or customers when needed.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S principles.
Work Schedule & Overtime
- Full-time, hourly position. Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Company reserves the right to modify or reassign the schedule based on operational requirements.
- This position is provided a one (1) hour unpaid meal period per shift, taken in the designated break room or other approved non-production area, away from the work area. Employees are fully relieved of duties during the meal period.
- Overtime may be required based on production demand and must be approved in advance, in writing, by the employee's manager or supervisor. All hours actually worked are recorded and compensated in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act and applicable state law. Employees must not perform work off the clock.

Pay range: $35.00 – $38.00 per hour, based on experience.
