Position Summary
The Materials & Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring job sites have the materials, tools, and equipment needed to operate efficiently. This position begins each day by purchasing and delivering supplies, transporting materials between job sites, and completing dump runs to keep projects clean and organized. In the afternoon, the role transitions to supporting office operations through administrative and organizational tasks. This position requires excellent time management, organization, and the ability to prioritize changing demands in a fast-paced construction environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Morning Field Responsibilities
- Purchase construction materials, tools, and supplies from vendors as directed.
- Deliver materials and equipment to multiple job sites.
- Complete scheduled dump runs and dispose of construction debris in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
- Pick up and return rental equipment.
- Transport tools and equipment between job sites and the company yard.
- Verify purchased materials for accuracy and quality before delivery.
- Obtain and submit receipts for all purchases.
- Maintain inventory of commonly used materials and notify management when stock is low.
- Communicate with project managers and field supervisors regarding material needs and delivery schedules.
- Keep company vehicles clean, organized, and properly maintained.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns immediately.
Afternoon Office Responsibilities
- Organize and file receipts, invoices, and purchase records.
- Enter purchase information into company software or spreadsheets.
- Assist with inventory tracking and ordering.
- Answer phones and assist customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Prepare documents, permits, and project files.
- Scan, file, and organize electronic and paper records.
- Assist with scheduling deliveries and coordinating vendors.
- Support payroll, accounting, or project management staff as assigned.
- Perform general office duties, including copying, printing, and data entry.
- Complete other administrative tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications
- !!! MUST HAVE !!! Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely operate pickup trucks and trailers.
- Construction material knowledge preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Professional communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- English and Spanish is prefered.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Drive for extended periods between job sites and suppliers.
Work Schedule
This is a part-time position. Typical work hours are divided between field operations in the morning and office support in the afternoon. Flexibility may be required depending on project demands.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
