Our well-established and long-time client is PARTNERING with STAFFING PARTNERS in search of an experienced Shop Foreman for this IMMEDIATE FULL TIME DIRECT HIRE CAREER OPPORTUNITY.
SALARY – $40.00 to $50.00 per hour DOE

LOCATION - Stanislaus County to include Oakdale, Modesto, Ceres, Turlock, etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and coordinate all activities of fabricators & welders in the shop
- Responsible for safety
- Responsible for administering discipline to assigned employees
- Directly supervise employees in work task to verify and ensure conformance to specifications, drawings, procedures, and quality, schedule, and budget.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, sketches and work orders to employees.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of customer product.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of workers.
- Assist workers in solving work problems.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Hire and train employees
- Perform planning, assigning, and directing of work.
- Address complaints and resolve them.
- Planning and preparing a fabrication shop schedule of all known and anticipated work, based on staffing and material resources.
- Monitor and support all shop projects maintaining high quality, on time delivery, safety and staying within budget.
- Understanding and adhering to the defined scope of work.
- Following company procedures regarding material procurement and return; preplanning equipment and material needs.
- Must be able to accomplish fabrication shop work in an efficient manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5-10 years of experience as a supervisor of (10) or more fabricators.
- 5-10 years of “hand-on” experience in the layout, fitting, and welding of structural steel, pipe, plate and sheet metal.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Experienced in QA/QC programs and procedures
- Expert level knowledge of all welding methods, procedures, and quality control.
- Working knowledge of all tools and equipment i.e. saw, iron workers, shears, breaks, welding equipment, plasma.
- Knowledge of design principles, AMSE/AWS codes, and safety standards.
- The ability to communicate and work effectively with managers, field personnel, customers and employees.
- Certified MIG, TIG and SMAW.
- Ability to operate plasma, breaks, iron workers, and other shop equipment.
- Detail oriented.
