Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles such as dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and forklifts for freight transportation.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques, ensuring proper handling of refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, or tanker contents.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety standards and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Navigate route driving efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and delivery schedules.
- Manage deliveries across various industries, including freight shipments that require specialized equipment like refrigerated trailers or tanker trucks.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, load documentation, and delivery logs in compliance with company policies.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL A license.
- Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks with proficiency in handling tractor-trailers and specialized equipment such as flatbeds or tanker trucks.
- Familiarity with load & unload procedures for different types of freight including refrigerated goods, flatbed cargo, or hazardous materials.
- Ability to drive safely over long routes while managing fatigue and maintaining focus on road safety.
- Experience with route planning and navigation tools to optimize delivery efficiency.
- Knowledge of forklift operation is a plus for handling certain types of freight during loading or unloading processes.

Pay: $2,100.00 - $3,700.00 per week
