Job Title: Construction Management Representative (CMR)
Job Location: Ajo, AZ 85321
Duration: Approximately 8 months (July 2026 – February 2027)
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Construction Management Representative to oversee the rehabilitation of the primary park water system at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. This project involves replacing asbestos-cement (AC) water lines, drilling a new supply well, replacing a 100,000-gallon steel water storage tank, and installing a SCADA system.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor construction for progress, workmanship, and strict adherence to contract documents and safety standards.
- Draft contract correspondence, review submittals, process Requests for Information (RFIs), and verify certified payrolls.
- Prepare independent Government Cost Estimates for modifications and perform baseline/progress schedule reviews using Primavera or MS Project.
- Maintain daily logs, take progress photographs, and facilitate weekly meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Proven background in public utility/water systems, earthwork, trenching, and asbestos cement pipe abatement.
- OSHA 30-hour construction safety training.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, Primavera, and SharePoint for document control.
- Prior experience with National Park Service (NPS) construction is highly preferred
