Job Overview
We are a Cafe Restaurant + Coffee Roaster in the Yorktown area. We serve all day brunch, cocktails and coffee. Our restaurant is a hybrid of counter-service and full-service dining.
We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, a team player, with serving and POS experience (we use Toast POS). We are a fast paced, fun and casual atmosphere.
We are a family owned business; many of our servers and staff have been with us since we opened. Our hours range from 8 - 5pm for the perfect work / life balance.
Duties
- Greet guests upon arrival and assist with seating.
- Take accurate orders using Toast POS.
- Serve food and drinks promptly.
- Process transactions, including cash, credit cards, and tips.
- Provide knowledge of our menu to guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards, bus tables, reset dining areas, and adhere to food safety.
- Engage with guests to promote specials, suggest menu items, and make customers feel welcome.
Skills
- Experience in food service or restaurants.
- Experience with POS systems such as Toast POS, Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for sales transaction processing.
- Customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally.
- Ability to manage time - multitask between serving, processing orders, and maintaining cleanliness.
