About the Role:
ReWA is seeking an Early Childhood Education Program Site Coordinator to support the delivery of a safe, nurturing, developmentally appropriate, and culturally responsive early learning program. Working closely with the Early Childhood Education Director and Administrative Team, this role helps ensure compliance with licensing requirements, performance standards, health and safety regulations, and program quality expectations.
The Site Coordinator plays a key role in supporting staff, maintaining regulatory compliance, overseeing health and safety practices, and ensuring high-quality services for children and families.
What You'll Do:
Program Coordination & Compliance
- Serve as Site Coordinator in collaboration with the Early Childhood Education Director and ECE Administrative Team.
- Assist with monitoring compliance with program contracts, ECEAP and Step Ahead performance standards, National Accreditation Commission (NAC) requirements, licensing regulations, and Early Achievers guidelines.
- Compile program data and assist with required reporting.
- Maintain program files and administrative documentation, including staff leave requests, reimbursements, city subsidy vouchers, and DSHS co-pay documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality of participant and program records.
Health, Safety & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with agency Health Policies, Disaster Plans, and inspection requirements.
- Coordinate and monitor fire safety equipment, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and required inspections.
- Plan and conduct monthly fire drills, quarterly earthquake drills, and biannual lockdown drills.
- Monitor first aid supplies, disaster preparedness materials, and emergency response resources.
- Oversee building and playground health and safety practices.
- Monitor and file child and adult injury reports and assist with regular analysis in partnership with the Program Director.
- Ensure handwashing protocols and other health and safety procedures are consistently followed.
Staff Support & Training
- Monitor and coordinate required staff health and safety trainings, including: First Aid, CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens, Food Handler Certification, Medication Management, Communicable Disease Prevention, and Disaster Preparedness
- Support maintenance of classroom staffing ratios in accordance with licensing requirements and step into classrooms when needed.
- Foster teamwork, collaboration, professionalism, and high program quality among staff.
- Attend agency and program meetings and trainings.
Child Health & Family Records Management
- Maintain current emergency contact and authorized pickup information for children.
- Maintain current records related to allergies, asthma, and other medical conditions.
- Update allergy information monthly.
- Ensure medication management procedures are followed, including care plans, medication administration, and renewal of expired medications.
Nutrition & USDA Compliance
- Collaborate with program cooks to finalize monthly menus in compliance with USDA guidelines.
- Complete monthly meal count reports.
- Conduct quarterly meal observations.
- Complete annual USDA study month reviews and related documentation.
Technology & Administrative Support
- Provide computer and technical support to Early Childhood Education staff.
- Assist with administrative functions and program operations as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Early Childhood Education Program Specialist and Director.

Required Qualifications
- Associate degree (A.A.) in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Access to reliable transportation.
- Valid Washington State driver's license and current vehicle insurance.
- Experience working with immigrant and refugee families.
- Ability to occasionally work flexible hours.
Required Certifications & Eligibility
- Candidates must meet federal and state health and safety requirements for childcare programs and maintain credentials including: First Aid, CPR, Food Handler Certification, CPS Training, TB Test Clearance
- Must successfully pass a background check.

- Bilingual or bicultural experience, particularly in: Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, French, Oromo, Amharic, Eritrean languages, Somali, Tigrinya
