What You’ll Do:
- Support individuals in daily living activities such as personal care, meals, and medication management
- Encourage community involvement by assisting with recreational outings, volunteer work, and social events
- Assist with ADLs
- Utilize Adaptive Equipments such as Hoyer lift, feed device, weighted blanks etc
- Promote independence by teaching and supporting skill development
- Foster a positive, respectful, and safe environment where individuals feel valued and empowered
We’re Looking for DSPs Who Are:
- Dedicated, reliable, and compassionate
- Passionate about improving quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities
- Comfortable working in home and community-based settings
- Able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (if needed)
- Experienced (preferred, but not required—we will train the right person)
- Able to start working asap
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred)
- Hoyer Lift experience (Preferred)
- PPD and Physical less than 6months ago
- Must pass a background check and required health screenings
- Certifications in CPR and first aid
- Authorization to work in the United States
Experience
Candidates should have prior experience working in assisted living, home health, hospice care, nursing homes, or group homes. Knowledge of dementia care, memory care, autism spectrum disorders, and long-term care is highly desirable.
Experience with medication administration, patient observation, vital signs monitoring, and use of mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts is preferred.
